When I smile it is as genuine as a porn star's tits, but I'm almost out.

Two exams, only one hellish, next Thursday, four days of intense studying (I hope), one homework due tomorrow, one dance show, one brief performance at the CIT banquet, one drug test, one invasive physical including urine test and chest x-ray, various other little meetings and obligations, one housing search, and I'm bound to pack it up for a rare "real vacation" of two weeks where I renew my driver's license and apply to grad schools a second time, followed by an internship at ArcelorMittal East Chicago!

My parents expect to be driving back to Florida as soon as the diploma ceremony is over on the evening of May 15. I have a little over a week to pack, get rid of things, clean, etc.

Where are you staying?

I have no idea. I have been warned to stay away from East Chicago due to "industrial pollution", and my housemate's fiancé's mom (from Chicago) suggested Highland, where apartments seem to run a lot more expensive then my $550/month housing stipend. Gary seems to have studio apartments, but I'm afraid I will end up living in its ghetto, if one exists, just for lack of knowing better.

Will you have a car? I have no idea how people get around in west Indiana, and it looks like Chicago's public transit stops before there.

Gary also seems gross, at least from the smells I experience while driving through it.

My studio in Evanston was $750/month, as a comparison point. Evanston is probably kind of expensive, though, and anyway way too far from where you're working. I don't know much about the southeast end of the area.

Yeah, I was told a car would be useful, so I am driving up from FL with my dad.
