Nov. 2nd, 2008 09:25 pmToday at the bus stop, a creepy dude with a smoker's cough told me, "You have to smile to stand on this corner."
Then the bus driver was way too enthusiastic when I got on and told me he liked my outfit when I got off.
I'm pretty sure I looked like a freak. I thought it was going to be much colder than it actually was. Big brown jacket, blue scarf, gauchos and knee socks and some brown clogs...
Friday a guy drinking vanilla Smirnoff out of the bottle and out of a sippy cup water bottle mixed with other booze trying to sell a stolen iPod he bought for $25 said I look like Avril Lavigne. I'm not even sure if he thinks that's a compliment.
Yesterday a whole vanload of guys offered to drive me home. I point to the bus stop sign and say I'll be fine, breaking eye contact. Then another van with one guy did the same. Just before the bus came, a man in a truck was saying something to me. Normally this only happens on Braddock.
Then when I get on the bus, another dude is being creepy and talking to me and smiling funny, so I call up a high school friend to look busy.
I really hate walking around female in America. At this rate, I doubt my issues with men will ever improve.
