Yesterday, chili. Featuring: garlic, onion, green bell pepper, corn off the cob, banana pepper, canned tomatoes and paste thereof, carrot (included because it would have expired tomorrow), dark and light kidney beans, chipotle cheddar, spices. Side: a mix of white rice and risotto, because chris overestimated his supply of the former.
Today, summer squash. Squash cheese bake, with ingredients some implausible cooking woman had just lying around her frighteningly well-stocked kitchen when she devised the recipe: squash, shallots, goat cheese, ricotta, "freshly-grated parmesan", garlic, lemon zest, egg, spices.
Squash bread, much like the zucchini and zucchini-carrot breads of July.
Tomorrow, leftovers, but Tuesday or Wednesday will be pasta with fresh garlic scape pesto. (Didn't know what garlic scapes even were until Abe identified them by sight from a picture chris posted on twitter.)
